Hiking Joshua Tree: Barker Dam

I moved to Joshua Tree a few weeks ago and decided that I wanted to complete every hike in the park…

Here goes nothing.

Barker Dam

BarkerDamNatashaCarlos.jpg

Distance: 1.1 miles

Time: 1 hour

Description: Loop

Level: Easy

Pros:

  • Well-defined trail

  • Part of the trail includes walking over big rocks

Cons:

  • Crowded at peak times

Notes:

  • Close to the Wall Street Mill trail

  • Don’t walk on the dam! Unfortunately, I’ve seen this happen. Don’t be that person. Leaving no trace includes your feet.
